Ok so i hopped on the Vortex RC1 bandwagon and didnt heed the baseband .13P recommendation.
Im on baseband 1.09.07P and had no problems flashing the ROM or running it.
Being that .07P is 2 versions older than .13P, im thinking it might be a good idea to update.
After doing some digging, it looks like i will have to SBF back to Froyo .340 and run the baseband updater from this rootzwiki link.
I also read where some people had just SBF back to Gingerbread .602 and that updated their baseband version to .13P. Before flashing the Vortex RC1 ROM, i was on a .602 SBF which i had installed via the Linux boot disk method. I had troubles with RSD Lite on my Windows 7 64 machine. I read here that if you use the Linux boot disk method, that the baseband version will not be updated. That would explain why i was still on .07P.
So my choices are SBF back to .340 and use the baseband updater. SBF back to .602 using RSD Lite (if i can get it to work) or just leave well enough alone with .07P. I figure if i can live with .07P for a while, then wait for the next RC of Vortex and then jump through the baseband update hoops.
Great ROM by the way!
Edit: Just in case someone reads this without reading my next couple posts. I ended up using 1KD's linux boot disk to SBF back to .602, then did OTA .605 to upgrade my baseband to .13P. Got Vortex RC1 loaded again and all is well. Read ahead for links to 1Kd's disk etc.
