Starting today Verizon has just launched it’s new Mobile Recovery service for smartphones. The service provides such features as: locate phone...
Just added a fix for the startup force close issues some people were getting, shouldn't getting them anymore. If anyone gets anymore problems let me know and I'll fix them promptly.
I'm guessing your using the 2.2, if you are then your market app may not be seeing the entire market. You need to go to the hacks section of this forum and update your build.prop file with the one...
It isn't? I used barcode scanner and it worked for me, but either way here is the link: http://market.android.com/search?q=pname:com.acknetwork , if the link doesn't work for you just search for...
Droid X Flashlight is an application that uses the flash on your Droid X as a flashlight. This requires root but should work on Eclair and Froyo on the Droid X. The following features are also...
I did see that but I thought this might have been a different problem.
I recently uploaded an app to the android marketplace that is specific to the Droid X, but it never shows up on my X when I search for it. It will show up on my Droid which is running Froyo but not...
My wifi iPad works great with my X using wif tethering.
I had this happen to me when I tried installing the Froyo update using the default recovery after removing clockworkmod. I used the sbf to restore and then used the updated version of clockworkmod to...
Thanks a lot, that worked for me.
I'm actually working on that now, I just figured this might benefit other developers.
The only problem i've found so far is that ADB doesn't see your updated device. Several people have had this issue so far.
ADB isn't working for me either after froyo update.
I already posted this in the hacking help section so I won't repost it here, but it might be useful in the FAQ for developers.
Like I said at the beginning of the guide this is mostly just for developers as i don't think you want to manually run these commands every time you want an LED to go off, but if your looking into...
This is a quick guide, mostly for developers, but also for whoever is interested in tinkering with their phone on how to manipulate the Droid X's LED's, backlights, and flash.
Blue LED:

This was pulled when the gallery app was open and then switched to hdmi mode. I used adb logcat to pull this info, i couldnt do it with dlna since i don't have anything that supports dlna.

This was done when the gallery app was in use.
I was able to track the gallery application calls slightly. This is what I was able to find:
HDMI_NXPDVR: State Transition (EdidReceived: ReadEDID -> Attached)
ExtDispService: onReceive enter...
It is annoying, but at the same time I don't really mind, this phone is amazing even without 2.2 Besides I still have my old droid to play with and mod.
This is what i'm currently working on right now. Since we have root and overclock the only other thing I want is HDMI capabilities so that's where i'm focusing my efforts.
So how many Droid X's have been sold?
This is not meant to solve either of those issues, just to ensure that you can actually watch videos.
Yeah my bad Manage Apps not Manager Apps
