Phone and alert ringtones

I can only find two settings for ring tones, one for the phone and the other for everything else. What I would like to do is to have a ring tone for my phone, alerts and texts then muted on both email accounts. Is this possible and if so how would I go about doing this? This phone does just about everything but I don't see how to do this. I am sure I am missing something.

I was wondering the same. I'd like to have a different tone for emails than I do for text messages but I only see an option for calls and an option for alerts. I don't see how to separate the two. Anyone know a setting or an app that will do this?

U need to get light flow. It will take care of both the led notification lights as well as the different notification ringtones. U can select s different color led as well as ringtone for each individual notification ; I.e. sms,ems,email,gtalk,etc.

I finally got it to work through trial and error and I could not tell you how I did it. The Droid X can do everything but somethings are not easy!

there are general alerts for messaging and ringtones. (from home screen - menu, settings.....)

if you open each messaging app , i.e. gmail, hotmail, sms, and go to settings you can then further change the ringtone settings for each app... p.i.a - i know wish it would just be included in the general settings!

i've noticed that when i get a text the notification light is green, and for other apps, like twitter and email, it's a lighter color. nice.
