Last Movie You Watched
Figured since I had my once-in-a-blue-moon double feature night, might as well start this thread to see what others might offer for recommendations.
Last night, I settled down to watch the following:
The Town: Another great "Boston movie" by Ben Affleck. No lie - if he keeps up his work in that area, he will become to Beantown what Scorsese became to New York. This movie's been accused of ripping off "Heat," but you can see some very distinct plot elements that set this one apart. Jeremy Renner's a rising star. And it was interesting to see Blake Lively in a role very different from her Gossip Girl one.
Four Lions: Don't know how many of you may have heard of this, but it's a satire about terror cells. Yeah, "satire about terror cells" doesn't really sound logical, but trust me, it works. To hilarious effect as well. The humor and vernacular is very British, but some things are simply universal, and really makes you wonder about the sheer ridiculousness of it all. My side hurt from laughing before the movie was even halfway through, and I had to pause it several times.
**EDIT: Please share your thoughts on the movies as well, otherwise this thread just becomes a list thread. Thanks!**

The Sorcerer's Apprentice: Another lame Nicolas Cage movie. Plot was boring. This type of story is so played out. You can only ride on the Harry Potter train for so long. The actor who played the apprentice could not act. Special effects were cheesy. Nicolas Cage can make good movies. He just chooses these stupid rolls lately like this, Ghost Rider and Wickerman.

My apologies...
Awesome Movie!! Great action / adventure with a bit of comedy. Good story-line and all ties together well leaving you think that at the end their will be another movie to come out. I would definitely recommend it for viewing...Robert Downey Jr plays Sherlock while Jude Law plays Dr. Watson - they investigate a series of murders that were done as ritual acts by someone who practices black magic. Once they capture the criminal, he is hanged but when is reported as "coming back from the dead", the movie truly gets interesting...
Better

Watched Transporter 3 last night from NetFlix. It was about average - lots of action. Last movie at the theater was Unstoppable with Densel Washington. It was non-stop action!

No no no........I inadvertently left that request out of the original post. I go to another message board with a similar thread, and all this one guy who watches like 4-5 movies a week posts is the title and "It was good," or "Sucked," or "OK," that's it. Pretty frustrating, especially considering how much he posts in that thread.
I've had Sherlock Holmes for a while, but just haven't gotten around to watching it LOL. Next on my queue is Social Network, the new Resident Evil, and a Brazilian movie called Tropa de Elite (Elite Troop) about a police special force unit. At my regular rate, I'll watch all 3 by next Christmas.

He added those rules because of my response
or lack thereof...I should have added more info anyway...Today, I am thinking the Pirates of Caribbean Trilogy will be watched as it is too cold for me to go outside...you cannot beat Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in these action packed comedies as him and his crew of misfits set out on their many adventures...
