How to Use An UNACTIVATED 4G Device as a Stand Alone Device? Ala Ipod Touch? Anyone?

vzw 4G devices require a SIM card apparently, and you can't even access the phone without one.. I have ordered a SIM card replacement but was hoping to play around with the phone while I waited its delivery...

I have the Droid RAzr and I can't do anything without a SIM card..

Does anyone know of a work around?

THe 4 corners trick does not seem to be working for me.. or maybe I am not doing it correctly?

"Yes you can bypass the screen where you have to touch the android guy to access phone setup if you tap the top left of the screen then top right then bottom right then bottom left then top left and top right in that order. This mist be done on the screen after boot up qith no sim. The screen with the green android emblem and the emergency call buttons on the bottom. I hope this helpa."

ahhh NEVER mind.. I figured it out...

APPARENTLY THE 4 corners are INVISIBLE>... but yeah I tapped them starting from left top corner, go clockwise.. when you hit all 4 corners, it will go to a verify data connection.. which will then fail and initiate the TRUE phone setup asking you to select cellular network or wifi connection or SKIP SETUP which then takes you to your UNLOCKED PHONE home screen!

all this digging is making me weary..
