    You may have better luck here Motorola Droid Pro - xda-developers as this is a Droid X and X2 specific forum.

    Edit: just looked at Pete's Root method and it says it's confirmed working on the droid pro.... Worth a shot. I don't know anything about firmware updates for the pro though. Like how the x .621 was no longer rootable by this method, I don't know if it is the same on the Pro. The worst thing that can happen though is it wont work. Give it a try. Make sure to enable USB Debugging though.
