Wow! We've got a pizza joint downtown that has 380 beers but they certainly don't have 30 Belgians on tap.

This is what I'm drinking tonight, Goose Island Matilda Belgian Style Pale Ale. The pic came out pretty bad but you get the idea:

edit: that pic looks worse than I thought, here's what it should look like:

Glorious! I do need to visit, not much of a beer or food culture here, most bars have like 5 taps, and they're all the same crap.

A new bar did just open up with a pretty decent selection, I think 25-30 taps and at least 75 bottled beers...nothing like yours though!

When we went to Seattle last, went to a place in downtown called The Stumbling Monk, kinda a hipster bar, but they had amazing beer. Only a few to pick from, but they were all at least 9% alcohol.

    That's gorgeous!

The bar is called The Thirsty Monk. They carry other stuff, but the Belgians are the draw. They hold casks of various regional brews that are exceptional, and have special cask nights.

I love this place! We have a brewpub for every <10000 people here. The last place I loved had a per capita of maybe 150000. It's a culture. And one I get to enjoy tomorrow night :beer::thumbup::beer::beer::thumbup::beer ::thumbup:

We'll! I live on Tipperary Hill in Syracuse,NY. If any of you know about this area then you know about it being the place to get a drink. I've been drinking Wailing Wench from Middle Ages Brewing Co. and recently have been getting Dragon Slayer. If any of you have access to anything by Middle Ages and you like craft beer, then do yourself a favor. Also, and this is new to me, I bought Purple Haze from Abita. I didn't realize it was a malt until I got it home, but it's like a craft beer drinkers excuse for kool-aide. I mean that in the best way possible. It's really good if you wanted a slight raspberry taste in your drink. Wicked good stuff. I'm going to buy something tonight as a matter of fact. Any suggestions?

I've been earnin' and burnin'. Snappin' necks and cashin' checks.

Looks good! $22 a bottle, but I'm splurging tonight on this one for sure.

My wife and I love Purple Haze! Picked up a half barrel of it last summer! Just one of those nice and easy, pitcher by pitcher kind of beers.
