I am still on cm7 rc3. what is the stability of CM9 on the HPtouch like? CM7 seemed to be flakey sometimes especially wifi (dispite numerious reinstalls/patches).

My experience has been nothing but positive. Huge upgrade. But as with all flashing some people are having certain issues. You should check the cm9 thread at rootz (it is a couple hundred pages long) I've done all my upgrades via cwm. That seems to be one of the biggest potential issues (cwm vs novacom).

I would recommend flashing the first CM9 files with ACMEInstaller 2, you can do it in CWM but there seems to be issues when you want to keep all your data from CM7. Once you get CM9 on there with ACMEInstaller 2 then use CWM to install further updates, that's what I did and it's been rock solid for me.

Am i looking at the wrong version of CM9? Alpha 0.6? It says no hardware acceleration, no camera, etc

That is correct. May be some time before those are resolved, if ever.

Lot of confusion on this: UI hardware acceleration is working fine on the Touchpad in ICS. Video codec hardware decoding is the issue.

Im just curious if anyone else had this problem and this worked for them as well. Cm9 isnt complete or close to where cm7 was. However it is so much better. I love it.

I didn't but these people had wifi issues fixes it the same way I just didn't think to post it because I assumed your wifi worked just not tethering so I diet think it would help .... boy was I wrong haha anyways here is the thread http://rootzwiki.com/topic/15542-cm9-wifi-issues/
