Hey gang just saw an interesting tweet from the one and only, p3droid...stating that "moto has a razr coming with unlockable bootloader"
If this holds true we are gonna love this!

All I have to say is: what a joke. The razr then few weeks later the razr maxx with bigger battery then another few weeks same razr with open bootloader. So in few more weeks another razr with different screen maybe ICS from the jump? Why not do what HTC did and have the unlock tool. All those early adopters are left out unless they unlock the device. And since they worded it as variant and "meeting carrier requirements" I have little faith there will be a cdma version with VZW radio unlocked but that's just the pessimist in me haha

Honestly I agree with you. Razr is a hot phone. Now they'll have 2 new ones out within 2 months of original release. I think, like you said, they should do an unlock tool so it'll be easier. But knowing Verizon.. sorry locked down.. hard.

I would consider the Razr if the unlockable bootloader version comes out. But I highly doubt it and therefore I won't be getting another Motorola product for my next phone.
