Had a difficult day today, which didn't help that I read some stuff about Droid OS that concerned me. I always get upset after reading about bad things about DROID OS in the news that people say. Also since I just laid down, my back is killing me, but I'm determined to manage my pain without out meds and to rely on my X to distract me from it.

Sooooo....I appears I now have to buy a new mobo and CPU...

I overclocked my CPU and it was running fine and dandy, but eventually overheated and shut the pc down. So, I pulled off the heatsink, applied a better coat of arctic silver, put it all back together, and it ran at stock speeds cooler than it had prior, so I figured id give the OC another go. Well, it froze exiting out of BIOS, so I rebooted the computer. It then booted up to a screen that said if was applying some table and to wait. But it froze there, so after a few minutes I killed the power at the PSU (power and reset buttons on the case weren't responding). Now it will power on, I can hear the HDD and DVD drives spin, but nothing to the monitor and it doesn't post. I tried resetting CMOS with the jumper and removing the battery, tried reseating the CPU, nothing. Tried removing the RAM, the GPU, and using a different CPU, no go on everything. And to top it all off, the handle to open the case snapped off.

Ahhhhh!

The CPU is likely fine, but if I have to buy a new mother board, why not update my rather dinosaur old CPU too and get an updates socket type that won't lock me into ancient CPUs? i5 2500k here I come...
