Boosting WiFi signal

Hey guys...
Here's my prob:
I work at a hotel where we have free wifi in the lobby, only problem is the signal over by the bellstand (where I work) is very, very weak...
The receiver/signal broadcaster is tucked down one level behind layers of concrete and I've talked to a few people in IT about it, but they say there's nothing that can be done to boost the signal...it is what it is...
Just throwin it out there to see if there's some avenue that I haven't found yet to get better reception where I'm at...Any ideas??

as far as I know, nothing can be done on your end (phone) The signal strength all depends on the Network itself (router)
If you wan't to come out the pocket or convince your company to buy a wifi extender for around $60, thats totally up to you

if anyone else has any suggestions, feel free to chime in.

I am not opposed to putting in a wifi extender...but I believe I would need to have access to configure it, which i do not...unless i could hack into it somehow...

Or would the wifi extender just be like plug and play... I don't know...

since ur job has free wifi u can go ahead n get the extender n not wry about putting a password on it.. if u were at home then u wud establish the password. good luck

Do oh not have reception anyway that you need the wifi?

I have plenty o 3G reception, but the fact is I REALLY need wifi to Sling football games in HD
Otherwise streaming video is just plain frustrating!
