Ok,
Did a SBF and flashed Droid3 easy root.
Got Titanium to run and froze the updater file.
Would now like to install a stable ROM.
Any. Suggestions and detailed how to's would be appreciated.
I am doing all of this to allow me to appreciate the X once again and avoid a move to iPhone 4S.
I can upgrade but will let my wife use my upgrade to get the iPhone and I will keep my X.
Thanks to all for your help and advice.
Gary
Ok,
Got the All tabs in Google Play
Thanks.
Is this the right place to ask about a stable ROM and how to flash?
i would look into this one MIUI DefX by Wizard0f0s or this one [ROM] AOKP [unofficial]
For some reason i have lost access to the internet on my DX after rooting per the above. The only change I made was to freeze the updater apk with Titanium.
Only way to access the net now is through my home wifi.
Any idea what happened?
Did you activate your phone after the SBF? Call *228 and press 1 when prompted.
That was the ticket. Thanks GoCliffGo.
On second observation, I still do not have access to the internet.
I did reprogram the phone with Verizon and after pressing 1 the reply said it was successful and may take 15 minutes to see the results.
That was last night, no joy this morning.
I can send and receive phone calls but cannot get to google.
I am over my head guys and will need your help to fix this.
Thanks
Gary
Sometimes you may have to call Verizon and gave them reset it on their end...(just don't tell them you rooted it) lol...dimply say your data stopped working etc.
Or you could always try again...and then pull the battery for a few minutes too
