    hi new to android just got a droid x but no battery, previous owner looking for it, also waiting on deal for maxx lol . Any suggestions for custom roms. Want to play around with it to learn as much as possible when I get a battery, may have to buy one .

    Welcome to the forum. Buying aftermarket batteries is a gamble, depending on how long the battery has been on the shelf. If it was made and shipped back when the X came out, it's not gonna be great even tho it's new.
    Liquid has always been a good ROM, although I can't say about the latest version, I was only on it for a few days.

    Welcome! You'll find the reception is quite warm here, as for Roms, I have CM9, and it's incredible, but a little bit buggy. It's still alfa, but a good stable one is molten 2.2, or try wizards miui. I never had it, but many ppl swear by it
