Another newbie, with stock X checking in.

I really love my X, I have had it almost 18 months. I got it for $50! Long story, but I have been with Verizon a while, and still have and use my Startac too. Box stock, untouched, except for the Invisible Shield, and the sometimes used Sidio Innocase Rugged. Am I the last straggler that loves his phone to join the forum? Battery life has been acceptable to me over the life of this, performance has been great as well. Sometimes, in recent weeks the phone will freeze a bit, but it always keeps going. I joined, and have been trying to absorb the wealth of knowledge, I am considering some mods, because I want to keep my phone a while still. Lots of ebay, lots of video play, lots of texting, and occassionally I make a phone call on it! It's fun to use the X alongside the Startac, thats for sure.

Hello and welcome to the forum. For your occasional freeze, you could try booting into stock recovery and clearing the cache.

Hold the home button while powering on. Continue to hold the home button for 5 sec after it starts to power up. You will get to a screen with a triangle.
Press both volume buttons at the same time. This will give you stock recovery
Use the volume keys to scroll to wipe cache.
Use the power button to execute it, then reboot.
