Lockscreens & new text notifications

This happened right after changing to MIUI and I changed to a different lock screen. Now it has happened again, but I have grown quite attached to the lock screen I am using now. Basically, it is saying that I have a new text message & displaying a portion of that text even though I do not have any new text messages. Even deleting the lock screen & reloading it does not clear the unread message count. Has anyone come across this before? Is there a quick fix for it? I'm using Go SMS Pro as my messaging app although I still get double notifications periodically. I have checked in both the stock messaging app as well as Go SMS and neither of them show any unread messages. If I delete the message that shows as unread, it just shows the next message in line as unread...

I am currently using 'Sense 4v1' as my lock screen.

I finally just said F' it and deleted all of my text history and it cleared the ghost unread notice. It hasn't returned yet so time will tell. I'll try to be more diligent about keeping it cleaned up.
