Hey guys, I've always came back to this rom, and I love it. But I've noticed an interesting "problem" with the battery life. I get about a days battery on it which isn't too bad but its not amazing. The problem is I get this whether or not I use my phone. I checked the battery stats and it looks like my phone never goes to sleep. Also note that I had absolutely ZERO apps installed when this happened.

Can someone help me out here?

Could be a system error or a corrupt file somewhere, cleaning cache and delvic may help or a reflash of this rom over itself with a cache wipe should fix the problem

Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't seem to help.. maybe it's just my phone.

Try this...
Make a current nandroid.
Use miui backup to save all user apps NOT SYSTEM APPS (or TIBU if you have it.
Wipe system
Wipe data
Wipe cache and delvic
Factory restore (this will put you on stock miui)
Give your phone time to settle then slowly restore your apps from miui backup you had installed, to see what is the problem app (if there is one)
Just a work around to see if its your phone or something else. This is an inconvenience but worth it IMO.

Isn't just you my friend. The last few MIUI versions only make my phone last a day. Stock and the new VXL rom last around 2 days.
i used to be able to get ~52 hours back with the DXC miui roms. I think it changed when Wizard did something with 'signing'. I'm not sure what that means but he was posting about it several versions back.

Lol, can't give an eta yet. I'm hoping soon, but I've only finished the dynamic governor part on bootmenu (reads your governors dynamically so you can add or remove them from your phone as you want and it doesn't break anything). It also loads all the govs so you "should" be able to swap around on the fly without a reboot (not tested yet, thus the should). I've also got a couple more deep sleep pieces done, but I don't remember what they were (did them 3 months ago and forgot to write them down).

On the list still to do are:
*Touch bootmenu
*Phone GUI app for bootmenu
*Swipe away notifications (ICS style)

I haven't found the ICS code for the notifications yet or an example of a touch recovery (no sense reinventing the wheel). That should be easy to find and hopefully easy to put in. The app for bootmenu is gonna be from scratch though. I've never done an app, but I do have someone willing to help me.

I also remember several suggestions were posted a couple months ago, but I haven't gone back to see what they were yet.

Bugs that I know of / remember are:
*Ringtones being a pain to set unless you do it through the music app
*Skymaps not working
*Camera flash is occasionally buggy (occasionally doesn't work)
*Video (camcorder) needs to be overhauled

Other suggestions / wishes:
*Ability to disable swipe lock screen if code or pattern is set

I'm not going to get all that for the next release, but I am trying to keep track of all of it. If there's anything I forgot or missed, please let me know.

Hey wiz, there is one thing that I would love to see and miui would probably be nigh perfect. The ability to clear out a single notification. I don't know if this is a miui limitation or not, but that is the only thing I constantly miss from other roms.

I've been digging through ICS code the last few days looking for exactly that. Swipe away notifications would be awesome to have in GB. It will probably be several things I have to change (structure of the notification list, object structure for notifications themselves, etc) so it may take a bit. Especially as I'll have to actually transfer it all as smali instead of java. If we're lucky, the structures won't actually need to be changed much and it'll be easier than I'm expecting.

As CnB said, it's on the list (and right there at the top).
