I downloaded it twice and get the same 0D28DA453DE308FF4B81C3F9E528321E and a file size 201,880. Downloaded 11-11-12 with a file size of 202,674 and the md5sum matches what the 11-12-12 shud be, EC26038EDE6F093F75A2AFEAE9F57B2D.
Not at a pc right now to verify, but be sure the md5 you're checking against is the one on the goo.im site and not the OP.

I downloaded 11.12.12 from the goo.im site. Checked the md5sum with md5.exe & didnt match the one on the op. downloaded it again. same result. but same file size. same md5 (0D28DA453DE308FF4B81C3F9E528321E). then downloaded 11.11.12 from the mirror. the checksum from md5.exe matched the one shown in the op (EC26038EDE6F093F75A2AFEAE9F57B2D). What worries me is the file size for 11.12.12 is actually smaller than 11.11.12 otherwise i wud just give it a shot.

If you download from goo.im from your phone using the goo.im app, it will verify the md5 for you, best way imo

And now considering coming back to MIUI even without encryption. The stock .605 with all the background stuff I use is almost unusable. If I go to place a call it takes Google Voice 20 seconds to give me the popup to use it or not.

Wiz, you surely are a wizard.

Can't you use a an app to encrypt files that need privacy?

made backups, downloaded the rom, booted to recovery, wiped everything then when i hit install from sdcard it just kept giving an error (can't remember off the top of my head) so i just rebooted and it loaded back into 1.7.29 (or whatever i had before) and i had to restore everything--- so i'm not sure what i ****ed up

EDIT: just retried, eveything went smooth, now it's just stuck at bootloader :/

Do you get a blue led at boot up? If so, hit volume down, this will take you to bootloader, do a factory reset and reboot

Edit: you did a full wipe, and a reboot took you back to the rom you were on? Are you flashing from cwm recovery or stock recovery? A full wipe means there isn't a rom to reboot too till you flash one

got the blue LED hit volume down, in the bootloader, not option for factory reset

    reboot
    continue boot
    cpu settings
    recovery
    tools
    fixes
    shutdown

(none of them include a factory reset)
