MIUI browser page zoom settings

I've searched everywhere for this question and can't find it.

The MIUI browser default zoom when opening a new page is "close". I changed the option (under settings-->advanced-->page zoom settings) to "far", but it doesn't stick. It always just opens pages zoomed in. This is a small problem, but driving me nuts.

Is this broken? Or am I broken? thanks.

Try putting it to medium and try wiping cache

Thanks. That didn't work, but I put it in Panorama mode and it fixed it. Weird thing about that is now the close zoom doesn't work when I select "close". Whatever.

I found some posts about this over on XDA, so hopefully this helps someone.
