Do you mean app cache or phone cache? I already cleared app cache and even tried flashing the install zip again to make sure it wasn't a install error

Not sure what it was..... But I uninstalled the update. Which reinstalled when I opened the market. Then it let me download the app.

Bad update perhaps? Happened to me when the new Google Play app came out as well. I tried a bunch of stuff, but in the end it came down to reverting back to the old market and taking the upgrade again and all was well.
Just an update. For anyone that hasn't seen it, I'm working on redoing the base for Miui specifically to the DX instead of being based on the Defy. As part of the process I'm also merging miui with blur (Vortex specifically). Essentially, the goal is to get the blur camera, 720p, hdmi working completely, and battery life equivalent to vortex.
I finally got it booting last night. Blur camera works and it looks like 720p does as well (it works, but I haven't done extensive testing to verify the audio stays synchronized). There are still lots of bugs (like wifi not working atm), but I'll be working through those as quickly as I can. Once I have it fairly stable I'll release an alpha.
