Getting root back? after installing Miui
I Installed miui and I seem to have lost root. SU is installed but I can not get droid bootstrap to work and Miui will boot into recovery.
I have tried to reinstall root with Petesroot tool but it isn't working. The program runs and phone reboots but still no root access. anyone have any suggestions?

Don't use Droid bootstrap in miui or you might soft brick
Gingerbread Miui on steroids

Yup...that's part of miui. Superuser access is disabled by default and must be turned on by the user. Also, as stated, never use bootstrap on miui; unless of course you really want to sbf

SU doesn't have an on button in the menu?
I like Miui alot but this is driving me insane atleast more than I already was.
I can't get clockwork to install with out root.

I don't see a way to turn root permissions on. And miui won't reboot into recovery with its own software it just does nothing.

Usaf did you press the icon that says tools? Thats where superuser is then press superuser icon then press the hardkey menu button then press settings and you'll see the button to enable superuser. I think he downloaded su from the market. Is that what you did?
