Is it possible to restore using nandroid backup. I keep getting MD5sum error.

I got it to work by updating CWM through Rom Manager. Thanks to Stryker on another thread. I've been trying to do this for months.

Yeah you have to restore a a nandroid on the version of cwm you made the backup on. So if you made the backup with the green one, use green to restore. If you made it on the blue version, use the blue version to restore. If you made it on the blue one and you are on green, update cwm in ROM manager and your will be good. It took me trial and error to figure that out. But it does make sense lol.

Miui Rom is a great thing However i've spotted a bug. When i'm in for ex. Contacts and I want to view contatcs from letter after L it still choose L. I can choose A,B,C,D etc. and it is fine but if I choose for ex. Z or R i get L.

Are you on the actual Defy? If so you I'd recommend you find a forum for your phone. Not trying to drive you off, but this is for MIUI for the Droid X, which is an entirely different beast. Defy is on official builds from MIUI, you can go to MIUI.us UNITED WORLDWIDE - News and get assistance there if you need it.

Now, if you are referring to the Defy build for the X (DefX, or Wizard0f0/DXC's builds) then we can help you. I'm running the latest and am not experiencing your issue. What version are you on?

Tried searching for this but I couldn't find it. On the 3/6 build, my light sensor constantly reads 0/0. Anyone else experiencing this?

The latest version is 3.9. There is a post on optimizing auto brightness. I manually adjust through toggle as I need.

Is anyone else having problems with boot manager? No roms will boot, and when they do and i boot back to miui i have to re install miui with no wipes to get the battery to not show 100 all the time. I'm in 3.9 and it happens on 3.6.

I'm on 3.6 booting back and forth to CM9 without issues.

Coming from my smartass Wizard MIUI. Speeding right along on 2012.3.6!

I just flashed 4.5 on my replacement droid x and now people say I sound far away or in a tube when I call them. Has this happened to anyone else or is it my replacement phone?

Did you make any calls before you flashed the rom?
