ICS ROM on .621?

I know this is a stretch but is this even possible?

I mindlessly clicked update one day months ago and then my root died.

I know there is a way to root again but can I SBF or what are my options?

Ok, thanks. That was very helpful and am downloading that Linux Distro and that flashable for the .604 now, but I'm a bit new to this. Can someone kind of explain this to me?

Awesome. You can effectively flash ANY Gingerbread-based ROM, however there is some pre-requisites. First, it is recommended you flash the kernel update. When you SBF’d to the .604 Milestone X version you lost your .621 kernel, and are now on the .604 kernel. There is a link to a flashable in the 2nd post. This flash only needs to be done once per SBF (so you can flash other ROMs between SBFs and not need to reflash the kernel) but whenever you SBF you will need to reflash this custom patch.

I have everything up to this point, I think. I plug in my phone and run this linux distro. From there, I flash my phone's Kernel back to Milestone X's .604. Then I root via the linux distro as well. Then I need the D2 bootstrapper to get to CWM. After that, I take that flashable and flash the Kernel to .621 in CWM right?

I'm a little foggy on this, last time I did anything like this was on my old D1 so I'm sorry if I sound a little clueless.
