    There is no Windows method right now. Dont be scared of the Linux route. It is quite easy as long as you follow the instructions to the T. I ended up installing the Windows installer version and I have been playing around with Linux a bunch now. Will definitely come in handy with Android issues.

    I am also running AOKP build 38 and I am loving it. I really have not come across anything that does not work yet. Makes the old DX seem brand new again.

    Whatever you do, do not install D2 Bootstrapper (and maybe DX Bootstrapper?) in AOKP (or any other ICS based ROMS's)! Once you install it an try to run it you will get caught in a nasty bootloop to which you can only Linux SBF out of again. I actually had to run the SBF 3 times before the phone would reboot and I could re-root and ROM it. Learned my lesson...

    Burn the 1KDS live disc to CD or USB you can keep Windows then. Just boot off the CD/USB.

    My old Droid X is also running 621. Did you finish this project? How did it work for you?
