Will ICS be coming to Droid X?
Anyone know if the Droid X or Droid X2 will see an official release of ICS? I would be pretty disappointed if it didn't. I've been thinking of upgrading to the iPhone 5 when it comes out. This may be a deciding factor. I learned from my Samsung Instinct (when I was on Sprint) and Blackberry that no more updates basically means the end of a phone's lifespan.

Dx.. most likely not... Dx2... Maybe.. It's still unclear...
But with three phones... They can go in for much longer then normal... The original Droid all has good development for it... But it's probably just about done
Everyone caries one deep inside...
It's just a matter of how much you let it slide

Here's January 19 news pertaining to ICS. Good things may be coming to the Dx

I doubt the DX will see it officially, (please, prove me wrong Moto) and I think the DX2 will just barely make the cut in mid to late 2012.
Knowing Moto they will push out the update to the power house phones (remember, they have other phones too that are NOT on VZW they need to update) and those updates will be buggy beyond belief, like most of their updates, and they will spend time trying to fix those as well while trying to push out updates to other phones.
If Motorola can pull this off smoothly, they may earn my support again lol but after what they did with the Bionic and Razr, seemed to have gone down hill from there lol
anyways, i'll step down for a min and hope that the DX sees this officially, cause that would be really awesome.
the only reason I can't see why this isn't possible is that the hardware is just too out dated for ICS.

Probably not. The x is getting old in their eyes and they are (hopefully) building phones based on the tegra3. But what I would love to know is why can't the os be standardized and drivers developed separately like windows does?

Couple of Questions...
> What's the direction with the CM9 Builds with Our Droid X Phone?
> Is their an End Date with the X Phones when OS cant support any New Modification or Updates?
>Will the Dev's continue to support Our X?....
