    DROID X 2.3.3 not rooting

I've been trying to root my DROID so I can tether. My pda net has quit working so gonna try this. Anyways I've been trying to root and haven't been able to. I've tried various forums and a couple of one click roots with no luck. One error that does come up is failed to start daemon. Any ideas would be appreciated

Well what android version are you on? Gingerbread, froyo?

If gingerbread no one click per say will work besides this one

The only method to root gingerbread is that method. You could do it manually through adb commands if you can't download Pete's Motorola root tools. If you already rooted previously you need to follow all the instructions under droid x here http://www.psouza4.com/Bionic/

You could sbf to froyo then install the 2 part to get you to a rooted gingerbread if all else fails...
