    Manual edit of PRL code

Hello. I'm new to this site and I don't know if this is the right section for this post, so I apologize if I should post this in another section.

Anyways, I have a Droid X (duhh) running the latest SBF from Verizon. I currently live about 30 minutes or so from a Verizon area which keeps me in an Extended area until I head down the hill. I installed the leaked, rooted Gingerbread but because of some glitches decided to go back to stock and wait for the OTA. I was able to locate online how to activate the DX since I can't use *228 here, but I'm having a problem with the PRL code. I've searched online for ways to edit it but all that I've found so far is in regards to moving the DX from Verizon to another carrier, which is not what I'm wanting to do, or to use either QPST or CMDA Workshop, which is not free. I installed QPST on my computer but 'lost' in regards to how to use it for something as simple as changing a PRL code.

My question is, has anyone figured out how to edit this on the DX while staying with Verizon? And, is there a guide of some sort for someone like me that is new to this stuff to follow on how to do it? The current PRL on my DX is 58006, but I need it to be 52220 which is the most current one that I had before I made the changes, and which is also on my wife's D2.

If anybody can help me with this I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thank you.

You realize his post was from April, right? And there's nothing that needs to be kept private regarding prl writes. Esn swaps, sure. But this is fine.
