    A few random newb questions

Soo, I have been looking into rooting my phone and maybe a custom rom.. So I have been doing my reading and have found that I want rubix blurry on my phone. Here are my questions pertaining to it.

    1) if an OTA comes out after switching roms does that mean to update I will have to go back to the original stock. Then upgrade then go back to rubix? Assumin the dev has updated the rom too for the newer version? I know this isnt a big thing but curious before I start..

    2) everyone is using titanium. Can all the same things be done with mybackup root as far as the back up? I originally did a z4root and used bloatfreezer since Some people have had issues with titanium not freezing amazon mp3..can I continue using it even after a rom change or is it useless? Does the rom automatically freeze the bloat?

    3) how do I recover to stock? Can I do an exact image of stock putting everything back to how it is right now? Does a factory reset put the original rom back by default?

I think there was another question or two but have forgot what they were ill ask them as I remember.. Any help with thesr questions would be greatly appreciated..

    Thanks.

    1. Yes, you will have to go back to stock, complete stock. No mods or frozen bloatware or anything.

    2. In ROM's the Bloat is usually removed, but you can still use Ti to freeze unwanted stuff in the the ROM you choose.

    3. To go back to stock, there is maderstock.340.zip that will get you there, or you can sbf, will get you links here in a min. Factory reset only resets user data, it does not touch system files.

And always remember to read, read, read, and read some more!

A flashable zip you install just like a ROM that will return you to stock, please read the OP carefully.

EDIT: maderstcok - OTA 2.3.340 update.zip Use this one here from this site.

Yea, when I find them I throw them up in a 'DroidXGuide' folder on the Chrome toolbar for easy access, since I can't remember where all this stuff is located either..

There is a grand idea, I usually have two tab open, one for the thread I am browsing, and the other just sitting there in case I need to search for another thread lol. Your idea is much easier lol.

Thanks a lot for the info cleared up a lot of questions.. but have a couple others..

What does sbf stand for? I see it everywhere but no definition so far..

Also what is nandroid? Specifically a nandroid backup? Is that a part of the bootstraper?

A nandroid is a full system backup of your phone containing all current apps installed, texts, settings, everything that isn't stored on the sd card basically.
The Aperture Science Handheld Portal DeviceIs epic win!!
