It does sb551, why, do you think we've strayed from that topic? The OP basically says this is new, I have root, but am learning how to move forward, and be careful how you proceed.

Now, GDP says BS, I'm going to do what I want and now that I've screwed up by following unproven minute old directions, I don't want responsibility and it's your fault. Isn't that what the OP is about?

Again with the assumptions and accusations. And some people are calling ME immature/young. I never said ANYTHING about me suing anyone. Nor do I have any intention on doing so because frankly ....... that would be retarded and fruitless. And actually they arnt MY inabilities ..... because I only followed a set of instructions. There was no error on my part. Again I will remind you and everyone else the only things I removed were/are on the 'safe to remove' list. If I have/did remove anything else then obviously thats my own fault. I will be upset if it turns out removing those apps does infact brick my phone, but I dont personally blame those involved with rooting. But I WILL blame them for saying it was ok to remove said apps. If they didnt know for sure, it should have been posted.

And yet AGAIN I am only looking for answers as to if removing the 'safe' apps will brick my phone. I think thats a pretty fair question.

Please stop putting words into my mouth and stay on topic. If you cannot provide me with the answers I seek, then dont post at all.

If that does truely offend you I apologize. However I believe you are trying to be facetious, in which case that just goes to further your obvious attempt at trolling. It seems if one of us doesnt stop this the thread will be derailed and I rather it not. So this will be my last post directed at you.

As I stated multiple times now I am just wanting to know if removing the 'safe' apps will brick my phone if I do a factory reset? I do have a copy of all the factory .apk files so I assume I can reinstall using adb. So can I assume doing so would fix any possibility of bricking, for all intents and purposes?

Stop this now! YOU chose to follow what he said, YOU could break you're phone, YOU are the one responsible for it.

If you work at a day care, and you are making sure kids don't get hurt. YOU were hired for that job, making YOU responsible for those children. In court YOU would be at fault.

Before him telling you what to do even comes into play. YOU are the one who decided to take the risk.

I got root, tried to modify some files on my phone, and now I can't get past recovery. I'm not whining that it's his fault. but I was stupid, and went beyond what he warned against.

If you blame them because, they told you it was ok, that's your own damn fault. You should know thast if you mess with anything in /system you could severely mess things up.

Regardless if he said it was ok, or not you are ultimately responsible for YOUR device.

*Mods: Delete if you think I'm flaming or w/e, but he honestly needs to wake up. You can't run to mommy every time someone calls you a name.

Please Post All Requests for help ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Wow, look at that. Instructions to create a new thread when help is needed.

The original intent of this thread was a warning and to answer some commonly asked questions about rooting, not to get into arguments about who's responsible for bricked phones.

GDP, if just the safe apps have been removed, as far as people have seen it won't brick your phone when you factory reset. Thats isn't saying it won't because yes this method of rooting is only two days old and still very new. Thats why this thread was created as a warning. Unfortunately, you have entered territory that is at your own risk, but if you create a thread asking the specific question. There are many knowledgeable people to help you out, like th OP.

Damn, I need a drink lol.

Sure friend. Your analogy doesnt work in that context.

"If you blame them because, they told you it was ok, that's your own damn fault." I cant really comprehend that 'logic'.

"Regardless if he said it was ok, or not you are ultimately responsible for YOUR device." I dont dispute that fact. But at the very least I believe I/we deserve some sort of answer if removing the listed 'safe' apps are ok to remove or not. And again this thread would be a lot less cluttered if people werent so worried about making personal attacks and abbrassive accusations.
