Setup to build rom / theme
Could someone point to a specific guide for the DX on themeing / building a rom. I have seen many out there just looking specifically for the DX.
I think having this here would help get more involvement, and give me a jump start to getting the graphics and ideas I have out in the wild.
Is it as simple as making the mods on my phone, and creating an update.zip??
Thanks!!
*edit*
I found https://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0A...k4OHNxZA&hl=en
Does the same thing apply for the DX when building the ROM? I compile an app and just stick it into the zip as you would for themes?

Hey madbuda have you gotten very far on the roll your own rom front? I've been installing other peoples roms on my old Droid and now Droid X for a long time and am looking into this also. I want to eventually build a light simple no frills rom. Something I can add features that I want. I think you know what I am getting at.

Ok, i have yet to try cory's links, but this (https://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0A...k4OHNxZA&hl=en) is just for themes. It might be helpful after building your roms base, its for colors, images and things like that.
edit
kay, cory's first link indicates that i cant use windows and i need linux or mac. is there a way i can backup my computer and install a linux rom or something?

Okay, so this android open source project (AOSP) says it is compatible with the galaxy nexus, xoom and nexus s. I can't find anything with phones without an unlockable bootloader, let alone anything about the droidx. just wondering, is the motorola electrify from us cellular unlockable? then that just means verizon+motorola=unfriendly....

Second link I posted is how to build cyanogenmod for the droid x, it's built from aosp
