Morning bro.
Well so far all is Amazingly well. This thing is quick. Has an awesome screen and phone calls sound crisp and clear thanks to the built in EQ.
Battery is ... well... battery.lol.
Still not seeing good Batt life. Not because of the phone though. It's the area's were I work. It is constantly looking for signal in most of the building s I work in. I shut down Wi-Fi, GPS and use Phone Info.app to stay cdma-prl. That helps a lot. I have no real issues to speak of. I love the customization of ICS, that coupled with either Nova or Apex launchers...still can't make up my mind...haha nova has been winning so far though...
There is obviously a reason to root it..(Modz).. Not to sure when there going to make an AIO. Although I have just began to explore that over at XDA n RW.

Root it...Root it...Root it!!! I'm just kidding. The only real reason for rooting is to get rid of the wifi notification and try a kernel!! I'm not sure I would even try a different ROM at this point, stock works great so far.

Morning Pat; Absolutely soon as they come up with an all in one. Although I never set up my SDK-JDK environment on my mac yet. I would do it the way you did..I am just not set up and forgot a lot on how to get there. I think I will look into it this wknd if I get time. It shouldn't be hard for me to remember and learn what I don't. The android open source and android development sites should get me thru it though. What do you think?

Nice PB ...good stuff and I rooted my phone on Mac ...just need to have all the SDK files and drivers installed and in proper folders ...I'm sure a little different for your phone but not much ...CM9 I see RC2 status for some phones including S3. ..but I think running it stock for awhile is good with the tweaks like Patton ..

Yeah most of the CM stuff for the SGS3 excludes VZW version because of the locked bootloader. But they do have a CM9 version but data is currently not working. There are some ROMs for the VZW SGS3 but most of them strip out all the Touchwiz or have a few quirks here and there. Right now I am happy with stock rooted, besides I like the Touchwiz SMS and email apps.

Well back to work programming some apps and testing them on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1!!!

Yes it is, that is why I will probably stay stock for a while (with customizations of course!!). I loaded Imoseyon's lean kernel yesterday and my battery life was pretty good, after unplugging at 7am and plugging it back in at 10pm I had 43% battery left and that is after a reading some forums and an hour of play World Series of Poker.

You really can't ask for any more...If you make it to end of night to charge not bad at all...I'm happy with a one charge in between..I like to use my phone...
