i am having a similar issue with my DX. For this to be able to work do you have to have the D2Bootstrap or can you use something else i have tried doing several different ROMs and none of them work i always get the same error message. E: signature failed.....(cant remember the rest of it) but i flashed my DX to the Milestone X for telos and i havent been able to do anything with it AT ALL!!! i would love to be able to install a custom ROM but i cant seem to be able to figure out how to. Please please please help me here it would be nice for someone to be able to point me in the right direction. (maybe even a step by step tutorial lol)

Are you on a milestone x or did you just use the milestone for root?

To install a ROM download D2 bootstrap and install the ROM from in there. Sounds like you are maybe trying to install the ROM from stock recovery or choosing update zip instead of install zip?

i am currently on the milestone x. the only thing that i haven't tried yet is the droid2 bootstrap. but i know this is going to sound cheap but i was trying to get around paying for the App. but also know that i am still slightly new to this. i have tried the linux iso method with the zergrush and then it said to install .621_Stock_Rooted_Deodexed_kY-Signed. but to no avail it wont even so much as try to install it. and one more thing is that i CANNOT get my phone to boot up in CWM it simply wont do it. please help.

It will never boot into CWM to let you install a ROM without D2 Bootstrap. It's only $2.

its actually 2.99 lol but the thing is that i am only using this phone over wifi. i dont really want to sink money into it. but yeah i guess that i will have to since it is only 3 dollars. but thank you anyways.

Thanks so much for doing this. I just got a Droid X and have tried a couple of the roms with your instructions. Went flawlessly. One question. Will the Liberty themes install on the 621 version without any type of patch?

So i flashed a the shadow .sbf for .621 on a DX Using cricket flashing for my network, will these roms work for me.

It says if you don't have the milestone x sbf for .621/.604 then dont flash....how do i know if thats what i got??

i really want the Liberty 3 rom, but ive tried to flash the Liberty 3v2.0 twice from the ROM Toolbox but both times it crashed and burned...
coming up with errors on the bootloader and i flashed the

This thread was created when the 604/621 root method was the only way to root 621. That's why it's worded that way. To answer your question, yes you can use any of these ROMs on 621.

Well it didnt work, it said .zip file is bad.....so im try to re-download it and try again if it doesnt work this time then im going to have to give up on flashing a this rom....untill someone else can figure it out?????

EDIT:...NVRMIND im an idiot....i checked the download size that its supposed to be and it should be 148mb....well for some reason i only got about 35mb downloaded....no wonder it didnt work....DerDaDer!!!!!
