Okay, so I am new to all of this stuff and really have no idea what I am doing. I have been looking and researching and decided that I want to get the vortex rc1 rom for my droid x. My droid x is currently on Gingerbread System version .605 and android version 2.3.3. I have rooted it also and am using verizon. What is the best step by step tutorial to achieve all the things I have to do? Also, what are some good themes? The more "dumbed down" the tutorial is the better. Thank you!
Get d2bootstrap. Don't let d2 scare ya, it's for dx gingerbread. Make a backup with it....export your contacts to your sd card... Go to the vortex thread and follow the instructions there to flash....
If this is your first rom you should familiarize yourself with sbf'ing and be prepared in case something gets botched.
