Prepare for Droid X Gingerbread

Have searched and all I can find are questions re: rooted phones. I haven't done anything except for factory updates.

Is there anything I have to do to prepare for the upcoming Droid X gingerbread update?

Should I move everything to the phone from sd card? I hope not since most are on the sd card.

Also is there a way to download or save a list of all of the apps I have? I have many and hand writing them all down will be quite an ordeal.

No need to move apps..

Your paid apps will automatically re-download from the Market when you sign in to your Google account..There is no other way to 'save' them without being rooted.

Also still want to know if there is a way to save a list of all of the apps I have without handwriting them down.

If you root your phone, you will be able to save your apps and Rio progress..

If you want to save a text list of your apps, you can do that a couple ways. If you have appbrain, just log into appbrain on your PC with your google ID. You can click a list of your installed apps.
You can also search the market for app list or something like that

On your PC log into your Google account and search Android market and you should see virtually all your previously downloaded apps, including those you've since uninstalled. Make a note of any incongruities (for example my account shows DOLPHIN HD browser even though I abandoned this for Dolphin mini) . You shouldn't lose any of your apps nor app data unless you factory reset before taking the update. In that case you would lose your app data (angry birds levels etc ).

You can use an app called app list backup. Hit the backup button and it generates a list of all your apps and their market link. Press save all. The list is saved to your sd card. When you update you reinstall the app from the market. Press restore and you get the list back. Press the market links to go directly to the download site in market for each app. You can use this to get back anything google doesn't automatically download.

Thanks for the information. I have also downloaded the app list and saved a list of my apps. Now all I will have to do is wait for OTA.

I thought I posted this question already but what I would like to know is I am currently running 595 so here are my questions

A) will my device receive the OTA when it drops or will it be blocked?
B) say my X does receive it what do I do click later then SBF my phone to receive it?
C) if the answer to "B" is yes then will my X prompt me for the update after SBF'ing and going through all the activation stuff and such?
