Speakerphone icon coming up when I use car dock
Some times when I use the car dock the speakerphone icon will come on randomly. The only way to stop it is to go into a call, quickly unclick the speakerphone option, then end the call. I use my car dock ALL the time and this always happens. any fix?

It might be a setting in Car Dock, check it out.

I have the same issue... Can't seem to find anything in the Car Dock settings to keep the speaker phone from sticking. It seems like a bug in gingerbread... Very annoying!!

I have the same problem. I tried using another car dock app but the problem still occurs.

I don't seem to have that problem, but I don't like or use the dock homescreen and I don't like it popping on whenever I sit my X in the dock, I prefer my own homescreen, so I froze the dratted thing

I have this same problem and noticed that the icon doesn't appear until after I've disconnected my phone from the dock. I'm not sure if it happens when I unplug the AUX cable or when I take it out of the dock but one of those actions causes it to pop up.
Also, it isn't the stock car dock app that is the problem either because I removed it from my phone and tried one from the market and I get the same problem.
Oh and I do NOT use speakerphone while it is in the dock, I let the sound come out my car speakers. Somehow it turns on speakerphone on its own when it is taken OUT of the dock, which makes no sense to me, it must be some sort of glitch/bug.

"Fix?"
Same experience. Try this:
Remove the phone from the dock, THEN pull the plug on the headphone jack.
When you think about it, it makes sense. As long as the phone detects being in the doc, it wants to make sure you can talk hands free. So, if you're still docked and disconnect the cable for your AUX-in in your car, it must be thinking that you need speakerphone, in case a call comes in while you are driving.
Since I had this thought and have focused on removing from the doc first, then disconnecting the audio out jack, I have not gotten the speakerphone. It is a pain, I would prefer to remove the audio cable, THEN take it out of the dock as that is a more stable approach the way I have things hooked up in my car.

Good point, I didn't think about it that way. I'll try it when I get home from work later. Thanks
