Simple rom for my wife? Suggestions?
Okay..The wife is now saying, oh this thing is so glitchy... and buggy. (Keyboard not visable, freeze ups, not scrolling ) The other day dhe said "I want an iPhone!" F..! Nobody wants to hear that. Well, I don't. She's been running unrooted now on 2.3.3.I've had her on Pink panther liberty, liberty 0.8, liberty 1.5, and darkslide 4.2.They were all fine for a while and just got more buggy over time. Apparently she wants to be limited as hell -since she mentioned the iPhone. Anyone got any ideas? Maybe even an old fail safe version of something? Thanks in advance.

Vortex rc1 or liberty v3 is the way to go imo

Vortex. Smooth and bug free. Everything works great and the battery life is fantastic.

Call me crazy but if she wants something simple, smooth and if she likes the look of the iPhone, sure enough I'd look at the GB version of MIUI. The stock launcher is very iPhone-ish but she's still all android. Wizard0f0s has been really diligent on doing his best on GB MIUI updates. I keep trying to go back to a blurry or blurless AOSP-type but I get frustrated and find myself flashing MIUI again. 2012.2.1 I believe is his latest version.
I need two DX's.. One to try rom's on and one for MIUI because it's THE daily driver for me so I'm not messin' with it.

I don't know if she cares if it looks iphony. Just that it is glitchless.. (word no-no but point made)I'm not opposed to Miui. I don't want to have to flash another rom anytime soon. And its just gotta work right. Miui seems alot newer and fancier to me. So that's my doubts. Is there a version of vortex that is most "glitchless"? Rc1?

I say Apex 2.0 RC4. Stable, fast and easy to use.

+ 1 on that for everything working and you could always add the ilauncher to it for a little iphoney look.

I run rc1 and downloaded the swift keyboard in the market and have no problems..... Its super fast, smooth and has great battery life! I have thought of switching to miui since it had different customizing options but vorteX just works to well to change lol

Now u got me thinking hard about miui.... if its gonna be glitchless. I've been checking out some of the info on it and it looks nice. Having stuff stuck on chinese may be a deal breaker though. Did they fix that?
This could be an endless debate. Lots of opinions out there.
Think ill flash vortex and see if my wife and I stillget along tomarrow.

I don't think MIUI is glitchless. I also think the layout and feel is just different enough from stock android (and blur android) that it would initially be frustrating for her. I happen to have flashed the newest MIUI from wizard today and I can't get the music player to see my id3 tags correctly and there are some other minor bugs.
602/5-based roms like vortex, liberty, apex, shuji, and sensei mod would be the most stable. Sensei mod was really close to stock if I recall correctly.
If it were my wife, I'd do a factory reset, install a custom launcher, and reduce the number of installed apps. The phone would look/feel familiar but be snappier. The stock GB rom is not really that bad with a launcher and a fresh install.
