Are there any good Linux programs for synching music on Linux?
Hey,
I've got both PC and Linux computers at home. Trying to root gingerbread sounded like a fantasy but KD1 showed me that the Linux exploit script worked a treat and I am happy now. I also use Gnome or KDE on my Linux and since the DroidX is such a wonderfully behaved device, logs in as you plug in the USB datacable.
However, in Windows, Media Player acts as a synch device to put music, pictures, videos, anything on the phone. But in Linux, Banshee is the only thing that appears to work and it crashes like hell.
Do any of you use Linux on your gingerbread droid to synch music and what software do you use? Deskop or CLI. How do you set the USB port on phone, charge only, PC mode, or a couple others.
What, if anything can be used for this?
Thanks, you guys rock!

well a lot depends on what flavor of linux you're running, suse, redhat, ubuntu, pclinuxos. and what window manager do you run, kde, gnome, xfce, etc, for gnome I would go with rhythmbox, kde=banshee
