Monster 2.3.340 zip to latest gingerbread

Ok just wanted to give everyone a run down on my history here leading up to the latest gb leak and the steps I took getting there.

If your going to try this I recommend reading this.

This is a reliable backup plan for you users who have a pc with windows. And please if you don't have a pc know the risks of doing this and READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. DONT YOU DARE SKIP ONE DATA WIPE AND DONT TRY ANY SHORTCUTS. Thank you.

EDIT: This method has been known not to work for everyone so be warned. Have a backup plan and if you have no other method but this please be aware of the risk and don't blame me for any problems that you run into.

EDIT 2: People are asking if the maderstcok.zip file will work for this method. The answer is no. This does not run the same process as the monster2.3.340.zip file. Do not use this or you will get stuck at the M logo.

1. Flashed first rooted gingerbread leak from an sbfed stock froyo.

2. Later on data wiped and flashed back to froyo using monster 2.3.340 zip from the Team Black Hat application.

MD5 of monster zip: fa92cc6574c94bffa8877490129ba527

3. Ok was just on rubix blurry 2.0. Data wipe and reflashed monster 2.3.340.

4. Booted rooted d2 bootstrapped and rebooted clockwork recovery.

5. Data wipe, flashed part 1, 2, and 3 of latest gingerbread leak.

6. Data wipe and reboot.

7. Booted flawless restored apps and am running smooth.

Just wanted everyone to know that from first leak ginger, monstered back to froyo and flashed the latest leak ginger without any sbf.

Basically wanting to confirm that if you went from first leaked gb to froyo using monster you don't need to sbf to get on the new Ginger leak.

If your going to try this please read the instructions carefully and do every wipe as specified. I am not responsible for anything that goes wrong.

I just got in installed so far it feels just as fast as the previous gb leak. Too early to judge battery life as well. Still love the new dialer and contacts as well as the screen rotation animation LOL.
Edit: I'm also noticing way more consistency in the data

Flawless transition for me. Ginger to ginger. Did the 'restore from backup data only' trick. All seems good so far!

Did you "wipe data/factory reset" OR did you "wipe data" thru "mounts and storage"? Also, backed up apps using "Batch" in Titanium? Thanx

So no need to sbf back to froyo? Sweet!!! I'm currently on gb rooted and deodexed. So I can just flash the monster 2.3.340 I have on my sd card and go from there?

Yes sir. I recommend doing exactly what I did. Wipe, flash monster, boot, root, D2 bootstrap(don't use DX), boot clockwork, wipe, flash 1, 2, and 3, wipe, and reboot.

Ok Scott ....i am on the deoxed gb. You are saying I monster back to 3.3.40.then usong d2bootstrap datawipe flash 1 2 3 and shoiuld be good. I have mever sbf'd yet lol. I am just trying to get the safest but less painful way to move on. Thanks

Yes sir. Make sure you do those wipes as I said. Please do EXACTLY what I said as it is the only confirmed method. Wipe, monster, root, d2strap, wipe, flash 123, wipe, reboot.
