Yeah, I noticed the haptic feedback got a lot softer... I don't think I mind it as much though.
Also the spacebar is a little longer and the period button a little smaller, which is a big improvement for me. Every text I sent had more periods than spaces.
I noticed when you hold the emoticon button, and the little window pops up, the emoticons are now colorful droid faces just like on HTC devices but when you use one it's still regular punctuation marks.
ya i was really excited to get the faces i tried when i first got the phone bumbed they still dont show when sent however i was told the reciepent does get the little face![]()
i dont like the change of some of the colors i loved the darker keyborad on the swype now it is white yuk also the calander is a bit bla'r do line the new phone pad when is use its green and hits red pretty cool
That depends on their phone's software. I guess it doesn't really matter but I kinda like the little faces. I had emoji on my iPhone and I loved all the different lil pics you could insert.
Not sure if this is the place to ask... and god knows I don't want to create any more merging or work for the mods: but what's the difference b/w the leaked 2.2 (which I am running rooted) and the official 2.2?
What are the benefits, if any of going back (again, sigh) and downloading the official 2.2. I know one thing, I want to wait until there's a DX rooting method and (not the Droid 2 method) and hacks available (like a working 2.2 SBF) before I do anything.
I'm simply comfortable with my customization, setup etc right now and I think waiting, for me anyway, is the logical approach.

Response to a few things that I saw posted in this thread:
My sound was loud before and is still loud.
Music controls on the lock screen were there is 2.1.
There was never any video zoom.
The camera button (the red one) still takes pics, and so does the on-screen button.
The old gallery was much better. The flashiness and cute thumbnails better suit an iphone, not a linux based device. A list view would be more efficient for gallery.
Long press on home to bring up last used apps was there in 2.1.
Now the good stuff:
Flash
Java (full screen animated weather radars are working too)
iphone version web pages now work perfect on 2.2
Battery management app
Market is better now (updates and layout)
Better layout for settings
Camera / video button layout
HDMI out button on camera and video screen
Calendar: better looking layout for agenda, easier to input events, can put multiple reminder times on one event
Game play is better
Quick Office rocks. (can create word and excel 2007 docs)
Move app to SD card option
Downside is I have 12 bugs / issues on my list too....... one step forward, one step backwards.
The video never had zoom, or mine sure didn't and still doesn't.
One feature that many don't know about, and I only discovered a few minutes ago, is the Video is now 720P, but also it is at 30FPS and will record in STEREO SOUND! THat is awesome. Just did a video of some movement and the video is waaaay better than before. Great job, MOTOROLA. That was worth the update, for me, by itself.
To pc2k - yes the long press brought up apps.. but now it brings up 8 - where it used to bring up only 6.
