Really?? These phones are essentially small computers. You sure DO need antivirus if you want to ensure your phone is always safe!

The Gallery hangs up on a black screen occasionally now...never did that before. going through the File manager allows seeing photos OK though. Mine was stock 2.1 before the update.

    edit:
Oh, and I was hoping the opening slider bar would be smooth...it's not.

For the Gallery: when I first try to open a picture in the Gallery, it goes to a black screen. I have to push the home button to get out. If I go to Files and select a photo there, it works...then if I go back to the Gallery it works. Something is preventing Gallery from opening initially.

Edit: I fixed this issue by reformatting the SD card and reloading media.

I am getting same error. After taking picture when i touch the small thumbnail in corner to see the picture I just took I get a black screen. If I back out to gallery and try to open picture then it works.

Downloaded very quickly (with Wi-Fi) and seems to work perfectly. Lost my red eye wallpaper, but no big deal to restore that. Contrary to earlier comments, Swype seems to work just like before. I haven't checked out the camera or camcorder, so will reserve comments for later. I like the "night time" feature where it shuts down all data inputs overnight to conserve battery power. Might not have to charge every day now.

In a word, "so far, so good."

Yes really you don't need them unless you run Windows.

I do not have one computer in the house running AV. Been that way for 8 years now. (Edit: I take that back Windows XP on my Macs virtual machine has AV and the little buggers will still try hard to infect)

Your phone is a baby Linux box and the only way a program is gonna run on it is if you give it permission to. Even the working Trojans on Android still have to ask.

    rename the logwrapper.bin to logwrapper
(this also assumes you uninstalled the bootstrap app from your phone first)

Installed on a stock phone. No problems whatsoever.

I just want to disable the security login - in the settings - the disable function is greyed out.

Other than that - the update went extremely smooth. Now just wondering what I can do w the phone now.

Installed Flash and chrome to phone. Both work flawlessly.

Me too. Option to disable is greyed out.

    Suggestion? Anyone get past this?
