    Red face noob wants gingerbread

    i want to get gingerbread on my phone but i cant find the how to. yes i used the search but i only find parts. anyone have a complete step by step link?
    one question will my phone loose all its contacts and pics by doing this?
    im on system version 1.3.418 android version 2.35
