Personally Gingerbread ran extremely well for me, scrolling among home screens and going through menus was very snappy and quick, a huge difference from stock. The one thing that turned me off from Gingerbread was the blue theme throughout the entire OS though; the little glow at the end of menus to show you that you were at the bottom looked a little weird because it didn't exactly fade out. It's kind of hard to explain. I know the glow is a feature of Gingerbread but it looked a bit "unclean", not sure if that is a graphical glitch or if things are supposed to actually be that way. Also, the keyboard lit up a very light blue instead of red (I much prefer red) so if color schemes are important to you, that may be a factor. Honestly, Gingerbread itself runs awesome, the whole color scheme just turned me off on the whole thing and that's just a personal issue.

First of all, if you're a rooted android user, and you haven't tried gingerbread- try it.
Its better than any ROM I've tried to date, including Apex 1.4.1, and Liberty 1.5 & Rubix

the only real issue I have is with the market, and here's the answer:
