Ok, Help Me Understand This

First off, I am rooted.
If I install 2.3, I understand so far that I can't root it. Does that mean that I have to unroot it then before I install 2.3?
Next, the instructions say that I download that zip file. Do I do that to my laptop, or straight to my phone?

For your first question no. No need to unroot installing this zip will unroot your phone.
Secondly you download straight to your phone. I recommend using the team black hat app on the market
as you will be donating to the developers as well as having access to all the latest leaks.
Another thing you might do if you havnt installed this is to download the 3g hotspot app found within the TBH app.
If you do this you will be able to use the 3g hotspot feature on the GB build as it doesnt require root to function.
