Wifi tether

I know there are other forums but I cant seem to find my answer

So I recently.rooted my.phone and I am still learning I have followed many intructions offer this web pagelk and I appreciate your guys and gals infromation

I have been trying to get wifi terher to work on my phone.currently then only rom I am running is eclipse I have downloaded wifi tether 3.0 beta 6 and set then profile to droid x cdma and is still not working if I could go ahead and.get some assistance with what I may bed doing wrong or missing that would be great thanks

I'm using eclipse 1.1 and using wireless tether 2.0.7. It works just fine. There is an entire process and guide put together by wugfresh on how to set up tethering correctly. I can grab that link in a min.

This is the thread with all the steps. I haven't done them. As I don't really use the tethering more than 2 min a month or so. But I may have heard the flashable zip will not work in the x2, but the steps are still listed there.

I have used that guodr and when I try to install the zip from.bootstrap it aborts the function everytime

Yea. I thought I heard it didn't install.

Uh.. Pm your email address and I can send you the wireless tether version I have. If you can't find it. 2.0.7 works.. hope that helps.

Well I have also attempted that version as well and I have also tried using the wug.by going into bootstrap afterwards also went ahead tried turning wireless tether with mobile hotspot on by
Thinking maybe it had to be on as well and still didn't work if any one has anymore ideas I'm open to them

this is what i used on my x2 after doing this i used wifi tether 3.0 beta 6 with no issues but be very carefull you follow instruction to the T

im on.605 DX og running libertyX will this work for me or is there somethobg else cause this sounds much better

not sure when on my x wugs zip allways worked now that i have a x2 this is the only method i found that works

I asked P3 if I could make them work on X2 and he said no. That method you posted is the easiest way available from what I have gathered. If I could make it easier I would.

Well it would be easy I imagine if you did wug if that's the best way I think I will wait untill I learn a little more about root user capabilities after all don't want to brick my phone
