Battery life seems short but looks right....

I just don't get it. I mean it seems like it dies fast but when I check stats it looks fine

You're assuming it's fine in regards to %. It could last 148 hours and your calls could still use 31%. If you're asking if there's anything out of the ordinary there, then no. Almost 16 hours isn't far off of par. If you want it to last longer, you could dim your screen, or use the new hibernate function (when not in use) by holding in the Power Button.

what rom are you currently running, for a 2nd init I'd be happy, with a .596/602 I'd think that's not so hot...

I think 16 hours is good considering i barely get 7-9 out of my stock battery. My extended battery I manage 30+ hours.

Is the battery life on the X2 considerably shorter than the Droid X? I used to be able to get at least 26-28 hrs of moderate usage with the Droid X. With the Droid X2, I'll be lucky if I can get to 20.

Remember the x2 its duel core and higher resolution so that world drain quicker..I get a day and a half on mine with moderate use.

Currently the X2 is rifled with moto blur, once a totally blurless ROM/AOSP is available you'll probably see even better battery life than the OG X with a BH6X battery.

My x2 barely makes 7 hours with moderate use. I got the trident case with extended battery and almost got 2 days on the first charge. thats with some phone calls, texting, words with friends, internet/youtube use and such.
