Music Skips Always on DX2- Worst with PowerAmp

I had a number of DX devices and they had their issues, but they always played music well with PowerAmp or other apps. Whenever I play music with PowerAmp (paid) it seems the music skips...it skips a lot. Hard to listen to. I tried just the regular 'Music' [com.music.android] app and it seems to skip way less than PowerAmp but it still skips some. The music is on my 16GB MicroSD card, same one I had in the DX. I formatted it in the DX2 when I got it.
I have not tested to see if all music does it but on 7 rather randomly chosen tracks for a workout this AM, PowerAmp skipped on every track- a lot. Most of my music is either 320kb/s VBR or 256 at least, some is 128....mostly I ripped them myself from CDs with iTunes.

Any thoughts on a fix. My suspicion is an app is doing something every 10 or 20 or more seconds and making it skip....dunno, need help.

have you tried uber music by the same dev that made launcher pro? Its a super solid app...other than that I would suggest trying a different memory card, or using windows to format and retry...sounds a bit odd though

I have a DX2 and have had zero problems with playing music here.

Ubermusic is pretty awesome. Very cool....still get some skipping there too...the lower quality files seem to skip less than the 320Kb/s VBR Rips....not sure but seems that way.

Are you supercharged? Running the script fixed almost all my music issues!

I was pretty upset that I had to root and run a script too but it did solve my music skipping as well.

Ill be trying the gb update but I have 6 days to return the phone and I sincerely hope that they fix memory management with the update and fix it
