Check the desc.txt file within the bootanimation, there should be a line like this: s Droid.ogg (or whatever the name of the sound file). The name is case sensitive so make sure the name in the txt file is exactly the same as the one within your notifications folder.

Everything lined up perfectly there was still no sound unfortunately. I will probably just count it as a lost hope lol. Thank you all for taking the time.

I set the sound file in 2 folders to cover the bases. Without time to really look into this, I'm not sure there's anything else I can do right now.

Try moving the file to another folder, maybe it's different on the x2 for some reason. Also try making a backup of the clip and renaming a different sound clip to what it is in desc.txt to see if that clip plays. I had a similar thing happen on my X last week when i was putting together a new bootani.

I heard that I mayvhave to place the sound file in the etc folder so I tried that, I have also experimented with several other locations none of which worked. I will just hold off on the sound for the animation until I can get my computer back.
