I just wanted to report that I have been experiencing "message not sent" errors since I did this. Both for SMS (a couple times) and email (almost every time I reply or compose new). F'ed up problem, that's the "business" part of my phone! I have tried clearing caches, clearing system cache; neither work. I am going to proceed with Eclipse (2.3?) ROM installation, maybe that will make it go away.

Simply rooting your phone should have nothing to do with experiencing failed sent messages... all it does it give you access to your entire phone, it doesn't physically change anything... that's odd.

rooting it self, doesn't really do anything
it just allows you to change system
    settings and files
eclipse may fix may not, depends on what's broken

get this error when trying to download

"The key you provided for file download was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on Mediafire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or Mediafire."

    slitaz boot cd, (like ezSBF)
has options for D2, D2G, DX, and DX2
Bhigham is looking for confirmation that the DX root works
    Droid2_D2G_DX_DX2-RootCD-2012.iso

if you have feed back on the DX option
please pm bhigham @ XDA or beh @ rootzwiki
or reply here, but I don't have a DX and bhigham has been putting this together, for me

Just wanted to add that this is definitely confirmed working to root 2.3.5 and installing eclipse 2.3 from stock over it worked flawlessly. Awesome!
