    Droid X2 charging problem

Recently on my droid x2 it has been acting up while charging. I plug the charger into the micro usb port and it will not charge. It will if its in this wierd position in there. An thats only sometimes. Would a new cable work? Or is it the connections in the micro usb port. If that would verizon replace those? Or would they be all "tough luck".

Could be a cable. However if you have to move the plug in all kind of weird positions to get it to charge then I would guess it's a problem with the port on your phone. Do you have any kind of insurance on it?

Edit: you could always take apart your phone and have a look in there to see if it is broken or twisted or if something is missing that should be holding it in place. There are guides all over the Internet.

I'm having this exact problem. Just started like a week ago. I kinda gotta get in there & move it to the correct spot & not touch it for it to charge & make connection. I have a feeling its not the charger like gocliffgo said but the actual charging port on phone. Starting to think the wear & tear of having this phone for almost 2 years is finally catching up to it. Its just about time to upgrade my X sadly.

I have like the when you get the phone you get the 1 year support thing. They don't even make Droid x2's anymore. Would they still replace it?

If you had insurance they would probably send you an X2 if they still have one laying around. If not they would bump you up the next "similar" device. It wouldn't be much better most likely.

I know they replace internal problems. Would this count as one? I never dropped it on the port (I don't think you can even do that)

Hmm I don't know if they would take the time to fix your phone or just send you a new one... It's a possibility they would fix it if you ask them to. And I'm thinking you wouldn't have had to drop it to damage it. Repeated plugging and unplugging could have just jarred something loose.

I had the same problem, before you send your phone in try other chargers. Some may even make your screen lock up while it charges. I have noticed that before the actual usb port goes bad the cables will.
