DroidX2 Pentile Display - what's better?

Got an RMA for my DroidX and got the DroidX2. Had no idea regarding the display. Noted right away the screen was different and it was glaringly apparent when I was streaming Eureka via Netflix. Colors are off but not too bad. I was pretty happy however with how games run on this phone. Guess it will tie me over til my upgrade.

What kinda of screen has good color reproduction? I've liked my DroidX phones, but will look at other brands for my upgrade in time I think.

I believe the Samsung super AMOLED screens are pretty famous for their colors, especially now that they've begun to use a Supe AMOLED+ which gets rid of the pentile submatrix, giving each pixel it's own R/G/B

Also, I remember hearing something about them being organically illuminated or something to that effect, which uses less battery than conventional backlight methods.

All that said, I think that 720p screens are becoming the norm for the high end android devices, so any of them will look 100 times better than the X2 screen based on DPI alone.

To add some more to the conversation the rezound has a really good screen in my opinion and it has a Super LCD screen at 720p (has more ppi than the almighty ip4/s haha)

Like leach said all of the newer 720 screens will be pretty nice

+1 I love my Rezound's screen. By far the best display in my opinion. Hated pentile on my Bionic, and don't care for G Nex screen, colors at time looked washed. The only downside to my display is its not so good in sunlight, even still it'd not bad and looks great.
