Feedback coming from phone when plugged into my Aux jack in my car, when charging....

So in my 2007 Chevy HHR when i plug my phone into my AUX jack to listen to music and charge it at the same time i get feedback in the speakers, like i can hear the revs when i hit the gas, this only happens when there is no music playing. I know it not my car or the wiring. I have plugged other phones and my Xoom in the same way and its been fine. It never did this with my DX. anyone else notice this problem? wondering if its the unit, Verizon replaced my DX with the DX2. I use Google music everytime I drive and this get VERY annoying. Thanks in advance....

What you need is a ground loop isolator for 3.5 mm jack. There pretty cheap. Saw one on amazon for 12 bucks. Pretty sure it should clear it right up.

Do you have an auto charger plugged in as well? I had the same thing, unplugged my car charger and it stopped.

yeah it only does it when no music is playing, and yes i have the charger plugged in. goes away when i unplug it. I jus think its weird my DX or my GFs thunderbolt didnt do it.

I think it is the X2 as well, my X didn't have this issue.

Nope...I definitely have this same problem on my og dx so its not an x2 problem...this is my second x, and both of them have done it.

Try a different aux cable, mine does this with a cheap cable i have but not with my good one.

Happens to me real bad when I plug my laptop into aux aswell as my DROID when using a power inverter to charge however if I switch to a. Jab power outlet adapter its very minimal
